New Sharpening Machine

Thanks to the generosity of the family of the late Fred Chapman, who was a member of the club for many years, we have been able to purchase a new state of the art sharpening set up. We were delighted to welcome Freds daughter Carol and husband Andy to witness the installation of the new machine. They were also given a demonstration of the machine by Steve.

It is with great sadness that the club have to announce the passing of Geoff Horsman after a short illness.

Geoff was a great stalwart of the club for many years who gave his time to keeping us all fed and watered! Although a carver in his own right Geoff chose to dedicate his time at the Club to managing the kitchen, providing us all with tea, coffee, biscuits and our lunchtime pie & peas as well as ensuring the smooth running of our annual buffets. A visit to the kitchen hatch for a cuppa and a chat with Geoff was always the first port of call for many on carving days. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, not only for his hard work but especially for his perpetually cheerie nature. Our sincere condolences go out to Susan, Geoffs wife and our club Secretary, with thanks for all the help she and Geoff put in together over the years.

RIP Geoff.

It is with deep regret that the club announce the passing of Fred Chapman. Fred was a well loved and popular member of the club for many years and will be greatly missed.
